Dry season or wet season? Here’s how the Bali weather works for weddings, the best months, and the dates to avoid.
The best time to get married in Bali is the dry season, from April to October. May, June and September offer the best balance of sunshine and availability; July and August are the busiest. The wet season (November–March) is greener and quieter, with short tropical showers. Avoid Nyepi (Day of Silence, usually March).
| Months | Season | For your wedding |
|---|---|---|
| January – February | Wet | Most rain; lush and quiet; good deals |
| March | Wet → dry | Fewer showers; watch out for Nyepi |
| April – June | Dry | Excellent: sunny, green, less crowded |
| July – August | Dry (peak) | Most sunshine, busiest and priciest; book early |
| September – October | Dry | Excellent: warm, calm and sunny |
| November – December | Wet | Showers return; Christmas/New Year is busy |
Uluwatu and the Bukit peninsula are among the driest parts of Bali, with less rain than inland areas like Ubud.
Bali is close to the equator, so the sun sets between roughly 18:00 and 18:45 all year. A ceremony at around 16:30–17:00 avoids the midday heat and gives you golden-hour photos and the sunset straight after.

May, June and September are often considered ideal: dry, sunny and a little less busy than July and August.
Yes. Rain in the wet season (November–March) usually comes in short, heavy showers, often in the afternoon or evening. Prices and availability are better, but always have a covered back-up plan.
Avoid Nyepi, the Balinese Day of Silence (usually in March): the whole island, including the airport, shuts down for 24 hours. Also check major Balinese ceremonies like Galungan and Kuningan, and Indonesian public holidays, when roads and venues are busier.
