Elope in Bali – just the two of you

No stress, no seating plans, just the two of you, the ocean and the sunset. A Bali elopement is pure romance – and simpler to plan than you think.

In short

A Bali elopement is a small, intimate wedding ceremony for the two of you (and maybe a few loved ones). It typically includes a celebrant, decoration, flowers, a photographer and a romantic dinner, costs around USD 1,500–5,000 and can be organised within weeks. Most are symbolic; the legal part is done at home.

Frequently asked

Is an elopement in Bali legal?

Most elopements in Bali are symbolic ceremonies: beautiful and personal, but not legally binding. You can make it official at the town hall at home, before or after the trip. Read our legal wedding guide for the options.

How much does an elopement in Bali cost?

A Bali elopement typically costs around USD 1,500–5,000, depending on the venue, photographer and extras such as a private dinner or videographer. We give you a personal quote.

How far in advance do we need to plan an elopement?

An elopement is the easiest wedding to organise – often a few weeks is enough. In the busy dry season, 2–3 months ahead gives you the most choice of dates and photographers.

Can we bring a few guests?

Of course. Many couples bring their parents or best friends. For up to around 10 guests, an elopement easily becomes a small intimate wedding.
